Why ‘Outmama’d’ ?
Founded by Registered Nurse, Tiara Johnson, Outmama’d was created after she found herself in a wound care clinic healing from a torn c-section incision. “Shortly after welcoming my second child to the world, I thought I could just resume normal life. This was my second c-section, I already had a little one at home, and I thought I had life figured out. At my first postpartum follow up, I found out that not only did I rip my incision, but it was also infected. At that moment, I knew something needed to be created for moms. I never want anyone to experience what I did”.
No mama walks alone
Are you guilty of trying to tackle every household task by yourself? Is it hard for you to ask even your closest of friends to assist you with things that you FEEL like you should be able to do on your own? Quite a few of us have been there! What if you're newly postpartum and your significant other either cannot take off, or has to return to work. Things like doing laundry and cooking meals can seem like a big ask, much less caring for a tiny human while trying to heal your body.
Are you ashamed to ask for help?
At some point, we have to change the narrative. There is no need to suffer in silence, and you will not receive an award for "doing it all". If you're feeling OUTMAMA'D, you are not alone.
Physical Assistance
Whether you need assistance for yourself, or caring for the baby, we've got you covered. Our staff is equipped to handle the most mundane of house chores to postpartum/newborn care.
Emotional Support
Sometimes mamas just may need a little extra encouragement. No matter what you are feeling (happy, sad, indifferent, etc), know that you are not alone!

Patients' Feedback
People almost frown upon a mom asking for help. I miss the "it takes a village" mentality. Outmama'd restored that for me!

My husband is in the military, and I needed desperate help after the birth of my second child....I appreciate this platform so much.
